Cynthia Johnson
Cynthia is a woman of unwavering faith whose life is a powerful testimony to God’s redeeming grace. Born in 1962 to young parents, she experienced a difficult childhood marked by family upheaval and hardship. Raised in a non-Christian home, Cynthia faced significant challenges from an early age, including circumstances that would shape the course of her life.
At seventeen, she was kidnapped and forced into human trafficking, enduring fifteen years of captivity. During that time, she became the mother of three beloved children and, most importantly, came to know Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her faith became the foundation that sustained her through unimaginable trials and ultimately led her to freedom, healing, and restoration.
After the death of her kidnapper, Cynthia chose to raise her children as a single parent while pursuing every educational opportunity available to her. Through perseverance, determination, and complete trust in God, she built a new life for herself and her family. One of the most transformative aspects of her journey was learning to forgive those who had caused her deep pain, an act of obedience rooted in her love for God and desire to honor Him.
Today, Cynthia credits her salvation and surrender to Jesus Christ for her being alive and able to share her story. She is happily married to a God-fearing husband, cherishes her three children, and delights in the blessings of her grandchildren. Through her writing and testimony, Cynthia encourages others to trust God’s plan, embrace healing, and discover that no past is beyond the reach of His grace.
